My short play The Misfit Mantra is appearing in Walking Shadow Readers Theatre One Acts Festival running now through July 8th! An existential crisis wrapped in a comedy, The Misfit Mantra follows Clarissa and Jasper as they grapple with the fact that their lives have veered off-course as they sit under a terrible painting of a smiling star. Starring Amy Benson and Dan Shaked!

I could not be more excited to have the first show up at Theatre of Note since everything shut down for the pandemic! I absolutely adore Note and have wanted to work with them for quite some time, so I am over the moon that it's finally happening! Clownfish follows Erica, newly released from a mental hospital, she is trying hard to be a good bridesmaid but is finding that everyone is treating her differently...and it's getting really annoying. The only thing that could make this reunion worse? The wedding reception might just be being held in a haunted cabin. A dark comedy about mental illness, social stigmas, and the misguided desire to be normal. Directed by Laura Stribling and starring Susan Louise O'Connor, Jamila Webb, Joe Mahon, Omari Williams, Mara Shuster-Lefkowitz, Sean Michael Boozer, and Bill Voorhees. Tickets can be found here.  My sweet little play about two people meeting in the woods at night for non-nefarious reasons will be produced in a festival by Blank Page Theatre Company! If you are in NY in July you absolutely must check it out -- they are absolutely delightful! I just found out The Taste of Emeralds made it to the semifinals for the Gary Marshall Theatre's New Works festival! Fingers crossed this little play makes it into the finals next month!  |
