Today is a day of good news! My writing partner Leigh Poulos and I have been selected as semifinalists for SeriesFest's Storyteller's Initiative half hour comedy pilot writing competition!
The finalists will be announced at the end of this month, and those that continue on to the next round will be flown out to Colorado to do all sorts of fun things! Grand prize is the opportunity to have your pilot produced!
Let's all keep our fingers crossed for "Just Be: An Emo Bromance" which is exactly what it sounds like. (You're welcome, America. And the world.)

I am super super happy to share with everyone that my short play "Inhale/Exhale" will be a part of Something Marvelous' Festival of Magical Realism happening next month in Chicago! All six of the plays involved with the festival had to draw their inspiration from Paul Bond's "Releasing of Sorrows" (pictured above). I just adore this theatre company and am so excited to have my work produced by them!
Here are the details:
Who: Something Marvelous Theatre Company
When: June 2- June 6th at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Stage 773 (1225 Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL 60657)
Somebody go and tell me about it! I wish I could be there, but as I have just settled into sunny Los Angeles, I'm kind of stuck on the west coast for a while.
