ABOUT AMY:
Amy originally hails from Reston, VA. Her love of performing started from the hastily put togheter, rag tag plays nad movies she put on with her friends in the basement of her childhood home. she went on to go through the IB program at South Lakes High School, where she won the theatre arts department award for her class. Upon graduating with honors she also recieved the Sheldon Hall Memorial Scholarship from the Reston Community Players.
Amy got her BFA from New York University where she also graduated with honors. She spent four years studying theatre with the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
Upon graduating, Amy wrote, performed and launched her own show with fellow NYU classmate Leigh Poulos ("Limbo", which ran at The Gene Frankel Theatre in New York City in 2007), performed in several New York play festivals, one acts, and full length productions, did a handful of Shakespeare work, and was co-founder of an original doo-wop group known as the Honey B's.
She is the author of two novels: "By the Sword of Maggie May" and "Much Ado About the Rocket Man". Amy is currently working on her third novel, "The Farewell Tour" as well as "The Value of Moscow", a full-length play.
Amy is also an avid visual artist. Examples of her work can be found on this site (though her greatest artistic accomplishment to date remains drawing hundreds of cartoon versions of her dog for her best friend to color when they were both in the fourth
grade). (Remember that, Elizabeth?) (Of course you do.)
She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, actor Glenn Stanton.
